Celebration of Life for Steven Louis Elliott will take place today

Memorial Service Announcement:

Steven Louis Elliott (“Steve”), of Hilo, Hawaii, died on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 43 years of age.

Steve was born on January 19, 1969, in San Bernardino, California, to Charles Ray Elliott and Cheryl Ann Pfeifer.

Steve was a graduate of Cajon High School in San Bernardino. He loved baseball and was an excellent player in his teens and early twenties.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Steve volunteered in New Orleans, helping with the storm cleanup efforts. He moved to Hawaii while volunteering with Teen Challenge and was active with a number of churches in the Hilo area on Hawaii’s Big Island. Steve worked as a school bus driver for Roberts Hawaii, where the kids he transported called him “Mr. Steve.”

He is survived by his parents, his older brother Brian Dwayne Elliott, his younger sister Mary Katherine Leitzman, and his daughter Stephanie. His family misses him very much.

A Memorial Service will be held for Steve today
